The Bradley Blast

My Top Pick for the Week

10 Things You Should Know About Adoption – Russell Moore of the ERLC pens a great piece for Crossway’s “10 Things You Should Know” series, and this one is on adoption. Having adopted children himself, Russell Moore has the unique experience of seeing first-hand how adopting is a beautiful example of the Gospel of Jesus Christ put into action.

Hey, Tired Mama? You’re Doing a Great Job – This is an encouraging read for the moms out there. As I read this, I see my wife in these words (and, honestly, a little bit of myself). I think husbands really do need to read this, as it gives great perspective on motherhood.

The State of Evangelicalism in America and All That Blah Blah Blah – This is a wonderful piece by Tim Challies that is also very encouraging, as it gives a foreigner’s perspective on the state of Evangelicalism in America. We are constantly reading articles about how horrible it is, and if you read a recently published list of the top 100 most influential evangelicals, it might make you cry a little. But this article is a refreshing, anecdotal look at how American Evangelicalism affects Christians around the world.

5 Mission Principles from Scripture’s Shortest Book – I was skeptical when I first read the title of this post. I was blown away when I read the post. It forced me to go back and read 3 John, and true enough, despite being fifteen verses in length, it is packed with so much awesomeness! Give this article a read and be encouraged, especially with the SBC’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering come up for international missions.

iMac Pro Appears to Include A10 Fusion Chip for Always-On ‘Hey Siri’ – This is where I nerd it out a bit. The iMac Pro, scheduled to release next month, looks to be a behemoth of a machine with pretty solid power for most anything, all the way up to 3D VR rendering. And it appears that it’ll be like my phone, where if I say “Hey Siri” it’ll ask me what I want. Now, I am not going to get an iMac Pro, but it makes me wonder about the future of computers and their virtual assistants and privacy…

3 Conscience Cases Before the Supreme Court – Here is a list and short overview of three cases before the Supreme Court of the United States that have the potential to set major precedent and have a wide ranging effect on many people, especially Christians.
